Newcastle United have confirmed all Fulham tickets are now sold out.
The NUFC allocation was 2,750 and despite the Friday night kick-off and live TV coverage, all tickets have been sold with two weeks still remaining.
One positive about Craven Cottage is that there is also a ‘mixed’ area next to the away section, these tickets can be bought by anybody in advance of a Fulham home game and when they play clubs with big away fan followings, the mixed area simply becomes an extension of the away end.
Yesterday, Fulham released a statement saying that due to the big demand for tickets, they were restricting the sale of the few remaining tickets to only season ticket holders and those with a previous history of buying Fulham home tickets.
Newcastle are likely to have the backing of something approaching 5,000 away fans at the game if previous matches are any guide, with United supporters snapping up the vast majority of the ‘mixed’ tickets.
The Cottagers biggest crowd last season was 20,316 against Bristol City but the Newcastle game is set to attract a sell out crowd of around 25,000.
