Jesus Gamez became the first Newcastle United player to be sent off this season but if you haven’t seen it yet, then make sure you have a look below.

After a 6-0 stroll at Bohemians FC and decent comeback to draw 2-2 at Doncaster, it was a trip to Belgium last weekend.

Goals (watch them here) from Shelvey, Janmaat and Perez (x2) had given Newcastle a 4-0 lead after only 48 minutes and with multiple substitutions, United cruised through the rest of the game.

That is until the 88th minute, when the referee ended up showing a double red card.

A bit of a naughty challenge for a friendly (the Lokeren manager apologised afterwards for his player’s actions) saw Jesus Gamez taken out right on the touchline, he reacted, then the offender did.

The end result was two red cards and Newcastle fans left wondering if the United defender would end up suspended for Fulham.

Still not clear on that yet but the speculation since then, suggests Gamez should be available for Fulham.

However, when you watch what actually happened below, you will be thinking that the referee was surely too embarrassed to mention the Jesus Gamez sending off in his report…
