The old Papiss Cisse off to China transfer story has resurfaced yet again this weekend.

No doubt it will be Russia or Qatar he is off to, allegedly, on Monday.

Both the Mirror and Sun claim that Guangzhou R and F are making a move for the Newcastle striker, that is as opposed to the Guangzhou Evergrande (and others) who Papiss Cisse has been linked with a number of times.

The reports claim that Rafa Benitez/Newcastle United are willing to sell, if the right offer comes in.

Previously, a figure of £5 has repeatedly been speculated for the 31 year old. However, with only a year left on his contract, his age, regular injuries and increasingly less regular goals, it is difficult to imagine anybody paying anywhere close to that figure.

Rafa will surely be happy to bank any fee and get Cisse’s wages off the expenses, leaving him a few extra quid to trade this summer, rather than having a striker hanging around who has seen far better days.

After 13 goals in only 13 starts (plus 1 as sub), in the last four years Papiss Cisse has only scored 24 more league goals in total.

With just over three weeks until pre-season training begins, the news of transfer ins and outs is set to start rolling.
