Newcastle United have now arranged a third pre-season friendly according to the media in Holland.

United will face Vitesse Arnhem at St James Park according to AD.NL.

According to the Dutch media organisation the friendly will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 30 July, a week before the Championship kicks off.

Newcastle already have confirmed pre-season fixtures away at Bohemians (16 July) and Doncaster (20 July).

Rafa Benitez has stated that he hopes to fit in between five and seven games before the season kicks off, though time is tight with now only eight weeks until the campaign kicks off on the weekend of Saturday 6 August.

Fixtures are released on 22 June, then players start reporting back for pre-season training on 28 June, before a training camp in Ireland from 9 July to 16 July, concluding with that friendly v Bohemians.

Vitesse Arnhem finished 9th in the Dutch league last season and recent parted company with their Manager Rob Maas, as well as his assistant Jon Dahl Tomasson. The former Newcastle striker now taking up the job as assistant manager of the Danish national team.

No official confirmation from either club as yet regarding the Newcastle v Vitesse Arnhem friendly.
