Mitrovic scores classy goal in draw against England’s next opponents – Video
Aleksandar Mitrovic made it two goals in his last two starts when scoring a quality goal (watch it below) against Russia on Sunday.
The Newcastle striker showing great movement(!) to connect with Tadic’ clever pass and slam it past the Russian keeper.
Russia face England next Saturday in the opening Euros group game for both teams and Serbia will be pleased with their result.
Playing away from home, they fell behind in the 85th minute only for Mitrovic to equalise three minutes later.
A bit like Gini Wijnaldum and Holland, Mitrovic and Serbia have hit recent form, after disastrous Euros group campaigns that mean both will be spectators this month when the finals kick off in France.
Serbia had won their last three games before yesterday’s creditable draw, Mitrovic scoring in the win over Cyprus on 25 May, as well as the strike against Russia.
The Newcastle striker has now appeared 22 times for his national side and these two goals have doubled his international tally.
