News from France today on the prospective deals for Florian Thauvin and Remy Cabella.

Cabella will sign a five year contract for Marseille according to La Provence, which will take him up to the summer of 2021.

The midfielder triggered a permanent deal during his loan spell last season and they report that when the deal goes through, Newcastle will actually receive 9.2m euros (approx £7.3m), almost £1m more than originally claimed.

Talks are also stated to be ongoing with Florian Thauvin.

There were claims this week in the local north east press that the winger had been told to find a club this summer and La Provence say that he is doing his best to accommodate another loan deal at Marseille.

Thauvin has made clear that he is willing to take a major drop in wages to ensure that he can remain at his old club and continue to try and rebuild his career and reputation.

Thauvin ended the season strongly and scored for Marseille in the French Cup Final as they lost to PSG.
