Confirmed: John Carver lands new job in management
John Carver is now back in management.
A year since losing his job at Newcastle United, John Carver has turned up a little further away from home…
Having failed in an attempt to land the Aston Villa job, the former Newcastle Head Coach, Coach and Sir Bobby Robson/Alan Pardew assistant has found his place in the sun.
AC Omonoia Nicosia (finished fourth top last season) is John Carver’s new home and the club based in Cyprus have announced the news on their official website.
Nikos Dabizas is the Cypriot club’s Sporting Director which points possibly/probably to how Carver has landed up in Cyprus.
‘We announces that we have agreed with the English coach, John William Carver, to take over the coaching of our team.
Mr. Carver is in America for personal reasons, but will break his journey to begin work immediately for our team, to start preparing for the trip to Austria (based pre-season in Tirol and they have a number of friendlies organised).
Mr. Carver worked at Newcastle, where he served as head coach, and assistant coach, next to top coaches like Bobby Robson and Alan Pardew. He also worked at Leeds United, Toronto FC and Sheffield United.’
