The Newcastle v Aston Villa player ratings as voted by United fans.

Newcastle made it five games unbeaten but were there any other positives?

What did the Newcastle supporters make of each player on the pitch?

Below are the ratings as voted by Newcastle fans up to 12 noon Sunday.

As you can see, Vurnon Anita is best of a bad bunch with a low top score of 6.2 for a battling performance, following similar ones in recent weeks at full-back.

Closely following is Karl Darlow (6.0), the only other Newcastle player to get 6.0 or better, he dealt with everything comfortable, as did the next best pair of Lascelles (5.7) and Mbemba (5.8) who in reality had a very comfortable afternoon.

Beyond these players, Andros Townsend (5.0) was the only other player to reach 5.0 or better. The only one of the front six to do so and yet again he was the only player producing any kind of spark or creativity.

At the very bottom of the barrel (bearing in mind 1.0 is the very lowest mark anybody can give…) you have Papiss Cisse (2.0) who was abysmal, closely followed by the equally bad Wijnaldum (2.2).

Moussa Sissoko (3.0) and Jack Colback (3.2) another two of the front six to put in terrible performances, whilst Dummett (4.4) and Tiote (4.4) tried in their own limited ways.
