Every Newcastle match we ask you for the player ratings after the final whistle.

Without fail we get a great response, thousands of fans marking each Newcastle player out of 10 (1 being a minimum…) and the interactive system automatically updates the average mark for each player after every additional supporter has voted.

With so many fans voting each time, it does seem to produce a pretty good reflection of how the fans collectively saw the performance of each individual player.

The way the season has gone, there have been some quite horrifically low scores but on the other hand, the good thing is that any player who then performs well the next game does seem to get a score that reflects that 90 minutes – rather than tainted from what has gone before.

We have now had 10 matches under Rafa Benitez, so who are the players that have and haven’t done the business for him?

We have gone through the player ratings score from each match (the 11 who started each game but not the substitutes, as if a player only plays a few minutes they will get a lowish score) and then added those individual match scores together to get an average under the games played for Rafa Benitez.

Listed below are the average score for each player who has started at least one game under Rafa Benitez and in brackets after the name is how many games they have started under the new manager:
