The Newcastle v Tottenham player ratings as voted by United fans.

Newcastle made it six games unbeaten at the end of the season under Rafa Benitez, a stunning 5-1 win over Spurs leaving supporters of both sides very confused.

What did the Newcastle supporters make of each player on the pitch?

Below are the ratings as voted by Newcastle fans up to 1pm Monday afternoon.

I think a pretty fair assessment with only maybe Steven Taylor finding himself affected either consciously or subconsciously by fans, as he scored only 6.5 when I think he had a steady game and didn’t drop any real clangers.

Speaking of clangers…two players who did ruin otherwise very decent performances were at opposite ends of the pitch.

After making the first and scoring the second, Aleksandar Mitrovic (6.3) was surely on his way to being at the top end of the ratings. Instead, his stupid and cowardly foul on Kyle Walker led to him receiving the lowest mark of any of the first eleven.

Meanwhile, Karl Darlow (7.3) was having yet another promising game and made some decent saves, only for that Spurs consolation goal to go above his head at the near post.

As for top performers, Andros Townsend (8.7) was so unlucky not to score himself, having led his old team a merry dance throughout the game.

The other star turn was Moussa Sissoko (8.5), one of many players to turn in displays that had the likes of Alan Shearer asking what had happened the rest of the season?

All of the other first eleven  players had decent ratings of over 7.0, with Mbemba (7.8) yet another great game and Wijnaldum (7.7) turning in a two goal performance.

Tiote (7.4), Colback (7.1) and Dummett (7.2) all steady, whilst Daryl Janmaat (7.4) put in a good shift on his return although he got a bit of a mixed reaction from the crowd when scoring the fifth!

Rolando Aarons gettimg credit for a promising goalscoring cameo off the bench.
