Ahead of Swansea on Saturday, Rafa Benitez has given an injury update on five Newcastle players.

The United boss confirmed that Fabricio Coloccini would still be missing, his minor calf strain now lasting two months already.

As for Daryl Janmaat, an official club statement said that he would be out due to the double injury picked up at Southampton, Rafa Benitez reaffirming that this was the case.

In the case of Steven Taylor who had a shocker in that first half at St. Mary’s, Rafa says that he will not play either against Swansea.

One player who will be available and almost certainly plays, is Paul Dummett.

An unused sub at Southampton with Benitez saying he was trying to manage his return with the player’s fitness for the remaining games in mind, Dummett is set to play at left-back tomorrow.

With the news that Janmaat was going to miss, many Newcastle fans might have fancied the idea of Kevin Mbabu also coming back into the team. However, Rafa Benitez stated that the young Swiss defender is yet another one who is not ready to return just yet.
