No more heroes

Newcastle United meander towards relegation, due to the present lot hardly working up a sweat…far less play football.

Where are the heroes to rescue us like Leicester had last season, ironically the last NUFC hero was David Kelly, who played for both clubs.

If you didn’t already know it – there are NONE.

We have become a rich man’s play thing – man who cares about the club as much as most of the players, he doesn’t as long as the money comes rolling in.

Quiet you loyal supporters – no one has listened to you before and it isn’t going to change now.

Is that the problem? The silent majority have turned up in their thousands week after week, where the performances deserve crowds of 10,000 at most. The fat man is still singing all the way to the bank.

We have people at the club who were rightly worshipped for their performances at the club over the years, Bob Moncur and Peter Beardsley. Now they just seem to toe the party line and accept mediocrity.

We can all accept defeat, we are used to it.

What I cannot tolerate is non-triers, shirkers, and we seem to have an abundance of these just now.

Come the inevitable relegation, most of them will take up root at some other club.

Moussa Sissoko wants to be at a Champions league club…what, selling programmes? Well it certainly won’t be on the pitch.

Daryl Janmaat gesturing for us to shout louder – if you actually played some football you wouldn’t need to do that.

Any heroes out there who want to come and rescue this fantastic football club?

Send a stamp addressed envelope, otherwise this lot won’t reply as that would cost them money that they don’t need to spend.
