Michael Owen verdict on Newcastle v Manchester City

Michael Owen has been looking forward to the Newcastle match with Manchester City.

Tuesday night sees the two clubs meeting at St James Park withe Newcastle battling for survival and Manchester City looking to ensure Champions League qualification.

The bad new is that both Kompany and Sterling are back from injury, whilst Sergio Agueri has just scored a hat-trick.

The striker has already got 10 goals against Newcastle, including five in a 20 minute spell at the Etihad this season.

Michael Owen has bottled predicting who will win and instead tipped that both teams will score.

After drawing a blank against Leicester in the first game under Rafa Benitez, Newcastle have scored in each of the last four.

Newcastle fans would probably take a point and with Norwich holding Man City to a draw recently, there is no reason why United can’t have a good go.

Newcastle’s last half dozen home results are three wins, two draws and one defeat, the same outcome as Man City’s last six PL aways.

Michael Owen writing for BetVictor:

“City looked good against a disappointing Chelsea side at the Bridge last weekend, but the Magpies are fighting for their Premier League lives and gained a confidence-boosting win against Swansea at St James’ Park.

“That said they are likely to find the Champions League semi-finalists a different proposition.

“Although I feel the Magpies will, also, find the back of the net.”

Michael Owen recommended bet: Both teams to score at 7/10
