Jonas Gutierrez was en route today to Sevilla but kept in touch with the Newcastle match whilst he was in transit.
Thanking the Newcastle fans for their continued support as they had sided with him in the tribunal win over Mike Ashley and the club, the one-time United midfielder said that Newcastle had to go for a win today.
Newcastle went one up before Jonas Gutierrez stepped onto his flight to Sevilla and wished for the three points by the time he arrived at his destination.
Jonas and Deportivo la Coruna play in La Liga at Sevilla tomorrow, the two teams are in 12th and 7th respectively but neither are involved at either business end of the table.
Celebrating the win for Newcastle as he stepped off the plane, Jonas said ‘we believe and we can do it’.
Let’s hope so.
