Florian Thauvin scored his second sweet goal (watch it below) within four days as Marseille failed yet again to win at home in Ligue 1.

Midweek saw the Newcastle loan player fire his French loan club into the Cup Final with them now meeting PSG in May, Thauvin now has three goals in his last five starts.

However, Sunday’s result leaves Marseille still in relegation trouble with three games left to play, they have now gone 11 league matches without a win.

An own goal had put Nantes in front, before Florian Thauvin levelled four minutes after half-time, leaving a final result of Marseille 1 Nantes 1.

Thauvin was making only his sixth Ligue 1 start of his loan spell and appears to be at last finding some form after what has been a disastrous season for both Newcastle and his loan club.

However, Remy Cabella’s form has really fallen away and today he found himself playing second fiddle to Sunderland’s Steven Fletcher, Cabella replacing the Mackem loan player with 20 minutes to go.
