At his Thursday morning press conference, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Jack Wilshere will play against Newcastle at the Emirates on Friday night.

The reserves/under 21s match has a 7pm kick-off and whilst Wenger doesn’t want to get ahead of himself in predicting when Jack Wilshere will return to Arsenal first team action, Roy Hodgson will be eager to see his progress ahead of selecting his squad for this summer’s Euros.

Arsene Wenger said about Jack Wilshere:

“I believe he has a real football brain. He loves the sport. He is very dedicated.

“Let’s not rush him. He will play for the under-21s tomorrow but I’m cautious.”

For Newcastle’s younger players, Friday night will be a great experience playing at a ground like the Emirates and also maybe a rare chance for some southern based Newcastle fans to get their kids into a game involving a Newcastle team.

United’s usual away trips in the south usually mean the necessity of needing to pay a £35 membership before you can buy any away ticket but anybody can get into tomorrow night’s game by paying £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

However, Newcastle fans who fancy going to this match need to be aware that you can’t pay on the door.

Instead you need to book them in advance and you can do that by phone or online with booking info HERE, whilst if you want to go straight to the booking tickets online page go HERE.
