The Premier League recent form table doesn’t make pleasant reading ahead of Leicester v Newcastle tonight.
League leaders Leicester are join top with 13 points (four wins and a draw) from their last half dozen games, whilst Newcastle have only that win against West Brom amongst five defeats.
Newcastle share 17th position with Aston Villa, which just about sums United’s recent form up. The only clubs worse than Newcastle are Pardew’s Palace and relegation rivals Norwich.
Rather worryingly, Sunderland look as though they are becoming relatively hard to beat with just one defeat in their last five matches. The last two games against Palace and Southampton they could have easily won rather than drawing them, the consequences of which could/would have been disastrous for Newcastle.
A glimmer of hope comes from the fact that Leicester haven’t been at their best in the last two home games, a hard fought draw with West Brom and a last gasp winner against Norwich.
