With speculation mounting surrounding the future of Steve McClaren, the Newcastle United board have met in York.
That is the four man board minus Steve McClaren.
A number of media are reporting the meeting but The Mail says that it was held in York today (Monday).
Managing director Lee Charnley and fellow board member Bob Moncur arrived in York by train, where it is reported they were then met by the remaining board member and chief scout, Graham Carr.
The remainder of the season and the position of Steve McClaren are claimed to have been the subjects under discussion.
However, Mike Ashley was not at the meeting, with the owner allegedly leaving the decisions to Lee Charnley and the other board members.
