Newcastle United are set to release five young players when their current deals come to a conclusion at the end of this season.
The five are part of the current development squad and include a couple of famous/familiar names in their ranks.
Ben Pollock, Luke Charman, Louis Johnson, Jake Trodd and Lewis Suddick are the five not to be offered new deals according to the Chronicle.
Ben Pollock is the son of former Middlesbrough midfielder Jamie, whilst Lewis Suddick is the grandson of 60s Newcastle star Alan Suddick.
Clubs from both Scotland and lower down the English leagues are already reported to have shown interest in those set to be let go by Newcastle.
Earlier it was reported that three other members of the development squad had been offered new scholarship deals and these are Matty Longstaff , Kieren Aplin and Lewis Cass.
