Deluded Newcastle supporters watch on as Arsenal fan transfers to Manchester City

In an innovative and amusing move, an Arsenal fan has declared he is ‘leaving’ the Gunners and transferring his allegiances to Manchester City.

The Arsenal fan released the ‘official statement’ via his Twitter account.

In his ‘moving’ statement, he says ‘I can’t take it anymore 11 years of constant heartbreak’ and claims ‘It’s ridiculous’ that Arsenal have wo only two trophies in that time after he decided to support them.

Sick of Arsene Wenger after only two trophies and 11 years of constant Champions League football and currently third in the league, the decision has been made to make a fresh start with Pep Guardiola and Manchester City in the search for less ‘heartbreak’.

The reaction of fellow suffering Arsenal supporters has been mixed, with some giving him abuse for making them look such a joke but many others sympathising with the sentiments expressed by the departing ‘Arsenal fan’.

This is nothing new of course with the media sympathetic when each season Arsenal supporters are moaning about only getting Champions League football and the odd trophy, whilst Newcastle fans get hammered as deluded when they point out the miserable existence under Mike Ashley’s ownership – now facing a third relegation fight in the last four seasons.

A funny old game…
