Alan Pardew can only be admitted for his one man effort to cheer up Newcastle fans.

The former United boss looks determined to try and help Newcastle supporters temporarily forget about the suffering under the latest clown Mike Ashley has foisted on them.

It is now three months since Crystal Palace last won a Premier League match and Sunday afternoon saw Alan Pardew help to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory, making it 0 wins in the last 12 Premier League matches.

Palace were one up against Liverpool with the scousers reduced to 10 men thanks to James Milner’s sending off, only for dubious team selection, tactics and substitutions from the silver fox to help send Palace fans home pointless.

The keeper gifting Firminio an equaliser and then a Benteke penalty in the sixth minute of injury time seeing Liverpool win at the death.

After the final whistle the Crystal Palace fans had plenty to say about their leader…

Comments are taken from the top Crystal Palace message board, well worth a read…

‘Utter crap, Pardew been found out, like he did at Newcastle. 12 games without a single win.’

‘UNBELIEVABLE. Pardew has to start making some decent decisions. We are stealing defeat from the mouth of victory every time. Gutted. This was our game.’

‘What is wrong with us? Pardew plays our 3rd choice keeper. Outplayed by 10 men when leading 1-0.’

‘Was ready for this one to be another loss, but not like that. f***ing unbelievable.’

‘We end up with no ambition to win the game and try and hang on against 10 men. Total shambles.’

‘Something doesn’t seem right with the team. It’s all over the place.’

‘I’ve always stood up for Pardew but today we should have won! I blame him for the loss.

Number 1 – he should not have picked McCarthy

Number 2 – he should never have taken Ledley off for Sako – the point was more important than risking it in the chase for a winner, 2 bad decisions that cost us the game after we had played so well.’

‘I am just numb…and want the season to end now…’

‘Sits directly with Pardew and his whole “ethos”.

No leadership, no cohesion. No tactics outside of “wait for Bolasie to be fit again”

Pardew will take this side down.’

‘One-nil up with a quarter of an hour to go against ten men. And we still don’t even cling on for a draw. I just despair.’

‘Pardew’s last game I reckon.’

‘Pardew’s fault that he’s refused to play our best goalkeeper at all this season despite countless mistakes from the other 2.’

‘If he’d have picked Speroni as everyone else thought he should we would have a point. I feel Pardew isn’t really up to the challenge I’m afraid. How long can this f***ing run continue???!’

‘Do Pardew teams play attacking football…if so why don’t we score any goals. If he was that attack minded surely our home record would be better and we may have 3 points against Swansea Sunderland Bournemouth Watford etc

He’s equally as predictable as Pulis in his own way, we play counter attacking football same as under Pulis but set up slightly differently.’

‘The only notable difference is that Pardews’s coat looked like it cost in the region of £1-£2k, whereas Pulis’s was bought with the Sports Direct vouchers he got for Xmas …

So, in summary … they’re both similar type managers IMO ..’

‘Unfittest team in 5 seasons. Pulis would never of let our players get that unfit.’

Yes we all have a sentimental spot for super al. But there comes a time when sentimentality can no longer be used as a reason.

If it were anybody else I feel sure they would be gone by now.’

‘Even the so called Palace fans/3right0n fans/trolls who still think…

  1. a) we have nothing to worry about and
  2. b) still for God knows what reason think that Pardew is the right man.

Must finally admit that he has to go, shambolic display, wrong keeper, lack of understanding of how to manage the game. Shambolic!! Face simple facts that without a change now we will be relegated.’

‘It wasn’t just the choice of goalkeeper. The substitutions were bizarre as well.’
