It has got to that stage of the season where with 12 matches to go, many people are now looking at the remaining fixtures and trying to work out which of the half dozen are so teams will finish the season in the relegation zone.

Interesting to see an outside perspective and Wales Online asked one of their journalists who covers Swansea to go through each club’s fixtures and predict the outcome.

Let’s hope he isn’t too hot when it comes to betting on football matches!

The Wales Online jouro doesn’t see Newcastle winning any of their next eight matches, or nine if the Manchester City game (postponed due to League Cup final appearance…theirs not ours!) is fitted in sooner rather than later.

The prediction from Wales is that Newcastle won’t have a win until three weeks to go and Alan Pardew’s Palace visit St James Park, then followed up by another victory at Aston Villa – but then hopes to be dashed with a defeat at home by Spurs.

The Wales Online prediction for each Newcastle match is below, followed by how they see the bottom of the table looking after the 38th match (they haven’t even bothered working out all Villa’s remaining matches as they see them as a foregone conclusion to go down).

Sunderland (h) D

Norwich (a) L
