Seydou Doumbia completed his loan deal with Newcastle United earlier today.

The 28 year old striker will be at St James Park until the end of the season, the Newcastle have an option to make the move permanent.

The Ivory Coast forward scored 63 goals in 83 league games for CSKA Moscow before AS Roma bought him for around £11m in January 2015.

The striker didn’t settle in Italy and has spent the last few months back on loan at CSKA Moscow, where he scored 11 goals in 17 starts, including six goals in the Champions League.

Returning to AS Roma, the striker needed to find another club, even if only on loan, and Newcastle are said to have fought off a rival bid from Aston Villa.

Watch the goals compilation below to get an idea of the new striking option added to Steve McClaren’s squad.

Like all of these goals compilations, beware the dodgy background music.

Interesting to see how many Seydou Doumbia scores with his head, both he and Aleksandar Mitrovic will be hoping Andros Townsend can vastly improve the crossing quality in the team.
