The match ratings for players out of 10 (PS The – before the number isn’t a minus…)

Rob Elliott – 5

Can’t be criticised for any of our goals… although he did concede five.

Daryl Janmaat – 3

His defensive abilities leave a lot to be desired. Danny Simpson was a better defender.

Steven Taylor – 2

Probably the worst I have seen him play.

Fabricio Coloccini – 1

Rolando Aarons – 1

The only thing he has going for him at the moment is that he is young.

Jonjo Shelvey – 4

Was very poor but never shied away from the ball and we need more like him.

Andros Townsend – 4

See above (Shelvey)

Gini Wijnaldum – 2

When he plays you are either playing with 10 or 12 men, he is that bad and that good.

Moussa Sissoko – 2

Cheick Tiote – 4

Gives the ball away so easily but always seems to give 100% and put himself about.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – 3

Was isolated and missed his only chance.
