In an interview on Friday, Remy Cabella has confirmed which club he will be at when next season (2016/17) kicks off.
It was widely reported that Cabella’s loan move contained a buyout option, with popular opinion being that a permanent deal would be triggered after a certain number of appearances.
Remy Cabella has now played 31 times and scored five goals for Marseille but up until now, no word of confirmation on the move being made permanent.
However, in an exclusive with Foot Mercato in France, Remy Cabell has confirmed that he will be at Marseille next season, with the deal to be formally completed at the end of the season presumably, when the transfer officially opens once again.
“Yes there is the option to buy and this is what was expected from the start.
“I am happy and I adapted well, very quickly.
“I get along great at the club, with the staff and all the players. There is a great atmosphere.
“Now I want to help this club get back to the highest level.”
Thursday night saw Marseille exit the Europa League at the hands of Bilbao but despite being only 11th in Ligue 1, the French club have everything to play for.
PSG already have the league won and Monaco are 13 points ahead, however, the two teams in third and fourth are only five points ahead, leaving the possibility still open of Champions League qualification for next season.
