Adam Armstrong was amongst the goals yet again on Saturday afternoon.

The Newcastle loan striker made it six goals in his last six games and 19 in 26 starts altogether, with a brace against Bury (watch them below) yesterday.

Turning 19 years of age on Wednesday, the Geordie striker scored two in two minutes and both were sweetly taken.

Very rarely has Adam Armstrong scored tap-ins and whilst of course it is a lower level, it is very hard not to contrast the young forward’s movement and awareness with that of the current Newcastle attacking options this season.

The goals and win have cemented Coventry in fifth place, now five points clear of those trying to get into the play-off spots.

Yesterday was Adam Armstrong’s sixth brace of goals this season and he also has one hat-trick, helping him to be now the top scorer in all three top divisions, only Jay Simpson of League Two Leyton Orient with 22 goals has more in the Football League.

Top scorers in all four divisions:

22 Jay Simpson (Leyton Orient)

19 Adam Armstrong (Coventry)

18 Jamie Vardy (Leicester)

18 Andre Gray (Burnley)
