The Newcastle v West Ham player ratings sees one player edge Jonjo Shelvey out of the top spot on his debut.
Rated top man by the fans against Manchester United, Gini Wijnaldum has repeated the trick against the Hammers.
A great all round performance was topped off with the winning goal, the former PSV midfielder undoubtedly thriving on the more positive open football of the last couple of games, as well as now the presence of Jonjo Shelvey.
Wijnaldum scored an impressive 9.0 out of 10 and Shelvey was next best at 8.5.
Fabricio Coloccini for once outdid his centre-back partner and registered the third best mark of 8.1, whilst Daryl Janmaat’s excellent attacking play was surely the main reason why he was next up with 7.6.
Front pair Perez (7.2) and Mitrovic (7.0) were the only other players to score 7.0 or better, with performances that promise much better now there is a more fluid look to Newcastle’s play.
Bottom of the pile is Chancel Mbemba (6.4) with a rare poor to average display, with the gift of West Ham’s goal seeing him further marked down.
Paul Dummett (6.6) once again doing his best but struggling to cope at this level.
