Michael Owen previews Watford v Newcastle

Michael Owen says that he’s really looking forward to Newcastle’s match at Watford today…

The former United striker saying that he hopes Watford start with their normal partnership of Idion Ighalo and Troy Deeney up front because they have been sensational.

The Hornets front pair totally dominated Mbemba and Coloccini in particular at St James Park this season, Ighalo scoring twice in the opening 28 minutes to give the visitors a deserved eventual 2-1 victory .

Michael Owen’s recommended bet is for Odion Ighalo to repeat the trick and score at least one more goal today against Newcastle.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has said he could make up to five changes and everybody connected with Newcastle, especially Coloccini(!), will be hoping the front pair are two of them.

Owen doesn’t say if he is looking forward to seeing any of the Newcastle players but the travelling fans will be hoping that the likes of Wijnaldum, Mbemba and Sissoko will play, or else there would look very little chance of achieving an ‘upset'(!).

Michael Owen writing for BetVictor:

“A tie I’m really looking forward to and I hope the Hornets start with Troy Deeney and Idion Ighalo up front.

“The pair have been sensational so far this season with the latter likely to be too hot to handle for the Magpies’ defence.

“Michael Owen bet recommendation: Ighalo to score at anytime at 11/10.”
