Newcastle fans filled the away section at the Hawthorns for yet another miserable day but what did the West Brom fans think about the match?
Were the Baggies excellent or were Newcastle rubbish, or a bit of both?
What did the West Brom fans think of the away supporters?

‘If it is original, credit to them (Newcastle fans) for that Chancel Mbemba chant, it stuck in my head.’
‘Excellent result. We were lucky with the Evans penalty and the goalkeepers mistake with our goal, but we absolutely deserved it for the way we approached the game.
A great performance full of endeavour, passion and a positive approach that included the ball being passed through midfield. It utterly dispels the view that our players can’t pass the ball, and the view that we need to lump it forward or play for a point.’
‘Newcastle have to be the worst team we’ve played this season. Relieved to win after so many missed chances. Sess and Anichebe were terrific.’
‘We had a go. Newcastle didn’t really put up much opposition though. We will meet a lot of stronger teams than these before the season ends.’
‘Feel a bit for Darlow, thrust into his debut and concedes like that. Reminded me of Carson today especially at corners, decent enough shot stopper but can’t catch for toffee.
Other than that, fun game that showed we CAN play a bit and if not for an overall great defensive showing from Newcastle we could have had more. But from this season so far, I’m just happy not being bored for 2 hours.’
‘Newcastle are a much better side than their position shows, problem for them is they have signed too many foreign players and expected them to gel together straight away, doesn’t work.’
‘Newcastle looked good until the final third. Sissoko is just the kind of player we need – first time we got the ball he ran from the half-way line to the by line (No idea why they play him as a winger though!).’
‘Well deserved 3 points vs a poor Newcastle team.’
‘That is one of the few games I have enjoyed this season. Is that because Newcastle were poor or we were good?’
‘I must admit the longer it went on without us scoring I thought they were destined to do us on the break. It was pure relief when we actually got the goal, a very well deserved win. Newcastle clearly the worst side I’ve seen this season and will be very lucky to stay up if they carry on that way.’
‘Wow.. one half decent performance against a team even worse than us and people think we’ve just watched Barca. If you think that was good football today then its a sad situation.
The football we play is turgid, it just so happened Newcastle are even worse than we are.’
