Ahead of what looks a daunting visit by Liverpool on Sunday, Steve McClaren has declared ‘nobody is happy here’, which is at last one thing I can agree with the Head Coach about.

After conceding eight goals in two games you would hope that there is real frustration in the dressing room and desire to put things right.

McClaren claims that ‘the mood is focussed and determined’ but you do get a feeling of deja vu after hearing this said so many times this season.

The Head Coach has called on the supporters yet again to turn up, something which has never been the problem this season, more the inability of the players to do the same.

McClaren is clinging to the hope that one result can bring the confidence flooding back, let’s hope there is a dramatic turn around starting on Sunday.

Steve McClaren:

“Nobody is happy here.

“We have lost the last two games and not played very well. Confidence can go as quickly as it comes.

“The next game is always an opportunity to build a performance, get a result and the confidence can come back.

“The fans can be so influential and we need everyone together (v Liverpool) no matter what.

“The mood is focussed and determined and we know that we can turn it around with one result because we have good players.”
