Pavel Srnicek update – CT scan scheduled after stable night
Yesterday brought the shock news that Pavel Srnicek was ‘fighting for his life’ after suffering a heart attack.
The 47 year old Newcastle cult hero was out for a run when he suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday.
In the Czech Republic, idnes reported that the former United keeper was found on a quiet country road unconsious after lying there for an unknown length of time.
The former United keeper was taken to the Ostrava teaching hospital where his condition was described as ‘critical’.
Later it was confirmed that Pavel had been put in an induced coma with the hope of bringing him out of it on Wednesday to then assess his condition.
Tuesday afternoon has brought a further update, with the Chronicle reporting that Pavel Srnicek had a stable night and the hospital hope to do a CT scan tomorrow (Wednesday), which if that proves possible, would give the medical staff a lot more information on his chances of pulling through.
Like all Newcastle fans our thoughts are with Pavel and his family & friends.
