Barnsley boss Lee Johnson was full of praise for his Newcastle loan centre-forward after the 3-2 win over Colchester:

“Our front two first half were excellent, the interplay is something we’ve not had enough of.

“They were a constant threat with their little one twos and I thought we should have had a penalty.

“We were dangerous and I am pleased Ivan Toney got a goal.

“We have to keep sending our fans home happy now, they were fantastic today and there were a good number of them singing in the cold. They willed us to keep the win in the last 5 minutes.”
