Apologies for featuring our old cockney geezer mate Harry Redknapp yet again.

Earlier today we featured his analysis of Newcastle’s win over Liverpool, with the out of work manager less than enthusiastic about the black & whites and predicting a season long struggle with the drop.

However, we did think it was worthwhile letting you know about Harry Redknapp’s team of the week.

Despite his lukewarm appreciation of Newcastle’s players, ‘Arry has seen fit to include two of them in his team of the week.

However, rather surprisingly he hasn’t included Gini Wijnaldum who was the only real class act on either side at St James Park yesterday.

Instead Redknapp has chosen Vurnon Anita and Fabricio Coloccini in his top eleven this weekend.

You can have a look at how his verdict compares to how Newcastle fans ranked the team in their player ratings HERE.

Harry Redknapp’s team in The Telegraph and comment below:

Artur Boruc (Bournemouth)

Adam Smith (Bournemouth)

Winston Reid (West Ham)

Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle)

Nacho Monreal (Arsenal)

Vurnon Anita (Newcastle)

N’Golo Kante (Leicester)

Riyad Mahrez (Leicester)

Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke)

Markp Arnautovic (Stoke)

Odion Ighalo (Watford)

Eddie Howe (Bournemouth) Manager

Harry Redknapp:

“So many upsets this weekend but I thought Boruc, Smith, Reid and Coloccini were vital in stopping Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool while Monreal has been hugely consistent this season for Arsenal.

“Kanté has been one of the main reasons behind Leicester’s surge.”
