An exclusive has been claimed on a January move by Newcastle United for Alan Dzagoev.
The two footed playmaker currently plays for CSKA Moscow where he has played all his professional football, winning the Russian league twice and the Cup on four occasions.
The 25 year old is also a regular for his country and played Champions League football most seasons for his club.
The Mirror exclusive, claims that Newcastle are ready to offer £10m in the upcoming window to help address the punishing lack of creativity and ability in the central midfield area.
Between them, Jack Colback, Vurnon Anita and Cheick Tiote have scored no Premier League goals this season and grabbed only one assist between the three of them.
In contrast, Alan Dzagoev has been responsible for creating a high proportion of CSKA’s goals over the years and has 43 goals in 182 league games, as well as 11 goals in Champions League/Europa League football.
The totals would be far higher but the Russian international has suffered from a series of injuries that have kept his number of appearances down. The last two full seasons seeing him make only 16 and 18 league starts respectively.
Newcastle preferred media partner, The Mirror, say that Manchester-based lawyer Saide Moussallati is now working on a deal to bring the Russian to the Premier League in January, though other clubs are also credited with interested.
