Steven Gerrard met up with Freddie Woodman & Adam Armstrong and the rest of the England Under 19s before their match with Japan on Sunday afternoon.
The match at the Manchester City Academy Stadium was the Under 19s final game of 2015 and they ended the year in style.
Freddie Woodman had an excellent match and made a string of decent saves, whilst Adam Armstrong came off the bench for the final 20 minutes.
Steven Gerrard had visited the home dressing room to chat with the young England stars and his pep talk obviously didn’t do any harm.
Josh Onomah and Patrick Roberts put England 2-0 up within 27 minutes before Japan grabbed their consolation, managing to beat Freddie Woodman with the help of the woodwork.
Tammy Abraham came straight back for the home side though and gave England a 3-1 advantage at half-time.
Abraham added another in the second half, before substitute Dan Crowley added a fifth in the final seconds.
