David Moyes is Shaka Hislop’s choice to replace Steve McClaren.

The former Newcastle keeper sees Moyes as a good option to get United on a ‘steady footing’ long-term.

Hislop was speaking on ESPN and it was pointed out that David Moyes had become available just after certain clubs he would have suited, such as Sunderland and Aston Villa, had recently appointed new managers.

Leading the fomer Newcastle keeper to suggest Moyes could be an ideal fit for United instead of Steve McClaren.

Shaka Hislop talking on ESPN:

“If you have a club on rocky foundations and want to bring someone in, who is proven to bring stability…then David Moyes is a good option.

“Newcastle just brought Steven McClaren in…

“However, David Moyes might be a good option long-term to get Newcastle back to some kind of steady footing.”
