After five months out of work, John Carver has identified his next ideal job according to reports today.

The former Newcastle Head Coach has registered an interest with Fulham after they sacked Kit Symons on Sunday, according to The Mail.

Symons was given his cards with Fulham currently sitting 12th in the Championship, only eight points off a play-off place.

The West London club are said to be looking for a Head Coach rather than a Manager, with the successful candidate working under Chief Football Officer Mike Rigg.

John Carver’s former boss, Sir Bobby Robson, was of course both a player and manager at Craven Cottage, though what chance Carver has of following in his footsteps is debatable.

Recently, Carver was linked with a return to the MLS where he previously was in charge at Toronto.
