It’s savage – Results of Newcastle v Leicester player ratings by the fans

After the final whistle at St James Park on Saturday afternoon, we asked you for your Newcastle v Leicester player ratings.

Supporters rated all 14 players used and from that there is generated the overall supporter marks for every player.

Your man of the match (fan ratings as at 10am on Sunday morning – see below) had a clear ‘winner’ but plenty of losers….

Rob Elliot scoring a rating of 5.2 as he emerged with at least a minimal amount of self-respect. Making a few decent saves to keep the score down and though he might have done a little better with the third goal, it was he who saved the initial Danny Simpson shot before both Elliot and his teammate totally lost the ball as he deflected up in the air.

Chancel Mbemba (3.3) and Vurnon Anita (3.4) were the only others to get a mark of 3.0 or better and I would say even those were a little generous.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (1.9) managed to get less than 2.0 with a truly shocking display that was missing ability, focus and most of all – effort.

As for the rest, all useless.

You would have to be very very generous to defend anybody and it must be a long long time since the team didn’t contain a single player who would roll up his sleeves and try and inspire those around him, even if it is a truly lost cause.

If you haven’t already put in your Newcastle v Leicester player ratings, go HERE and you can still input your own marks out of 10 for each player, then check back later to see whether the overall interactive ratings have changed for the team as more fans vote.
