Hatem Ben Arfa ‘I was in Hell, in Nice I’m in Heaven’

Hatem Ben Arfa has given an exclusive interview in France after being recalled to the national squad.

The former Newcastle enigma says that at Nice he is ‘in Heaven’.

Hatem contrasting that with the ‘Hell’ he was saved from.

The player ending up in no-man’s land after already playing for Newcastle Under 21s and Hull, meaning he couldn’t play for Nice last season.

The interview is with Nice-Matin and they have published a few advance quotes ahead of the full interview.

After scoring seven goals and helping the Ligue 1 club up into the upper reaches of the table, little wonder the winger is enjoying life again.

Hatem Ben Arfa says that he will consider staying at Nice now he is happy again and he says that the team has potential to get even better.

Hatem Ben Arfa speaking to Nice-Matin:

“It is a great pleasure to be there (France squad).

“ I am there thanks to OGC Nice. Honestly, I really like my team.”

“It was a shock (when banned from playing for Nice last season).

“I was in hell. In Nice I’m in heaven.

“Why not continue here? I’m happy in Nice and this team still has room for improvement.”
