The Adam Armstrong goals machine keeps rolling, with his 13th striker in 17 League One games on Saturday.
The Newcastle loan striker struck in the 30th minute for Coventry City to open the scoring but the Sky Blues couldn’t see out the game.
Twice ahead, Coventry ended up drawing 2-2 with Doncaster, a result that keeps them top of League One by one point.
A match that featured some shocking defending (almost as bad as Newcastle’s….) with the ball falling for Adam Armstrong after half an hour and his sharp finish, despite being surrounded by defenders, should have set Coventry on their way to another three points.
We all wait to see what happens in January when Adam Armstrong sees his initial loan period come to a close.
If both Newcastle United and Adam Armstrong continue their current form in the next six or seven weeks, you can only imagine that it would be all but impossible for Steve McClaren (or whoever is Newcastle Head Coach…) to risk leaving such an in-form striker at another club.
Watch the on-loan striker’s sharp finish below and enjoy the comedy defending as well.
