Shola Ameobi has now moved on to his fourth Championship club as he continues to look for a new home.

Since the football season kicked off again less than two months ago, the former Newcastle striker has trained with three different second tier clubs without agreeing a contract.

Huddersfield Town, Wolves and then the latest, Sheffield Wednesday, took a close look but didn’t sign up Shola.

Now Bolton Wanderers are giving him a try.

Manager Neil Lennon says that they will have a ‘good look’ at Shola Ameobi, a striker who Lennon believes could ‘offer something a bit different’.

Neil Lennon:

“Shola has got a good pedigree and might offer us something a little bit different.

“We’ll take a good look at him and make a decision from there.”
