How the Premier League recent form table looks ahead of Newcastle v Stoke

The Premier League recent form table sees Newcastle still in the relegation zone based on their form over the last half a dozen matches, which is the same story as the full Premier League table after 10 games.

The only consolation (if there is any) is that Villa are even worse with six defeats in a row, whilst Bournemouth are dropping like a stone after a decent start to the season.

As for Stoke City, Saturday’s visitors put together a run of three wins which instantly lifted them from the relegation zone and into mid-table respectability.

This trio of victories came during a run of ‘winnable’ games which Newcastle are said to currently be in, though that run came to a surprise end against Watford.

Stoke’s last six results with latest one listed first;

Stoke 0 Watford 2

Swansea 0 Stoke 1

Aston Villa 0 Stoke 1

Stoke 2 Bournemouth 1

Stoke 2 Leicester 2

Arsenal 2 Stoke 0

Newcastle’s last six results also listed with the latest result first;

Sunderland 3 Newcastle 0

Newcastle 6 Norwich 2

Manchester City 6 Newcastle 1

Newcastle 2 Chelsea 2

Newcastle 1 Watford 2

West Ham 2 Newcastle 0
