Who do you think should be in the Newcastle team v Manchester City?

I can’t see Steve McClaren straying too far from the eleven who gave a spirited and largely composed performance against Chelsea.

However, with the Head Coach admitting that Jack Colback hasn’t trained this week, even though he says he will give him until the last minute I can’t see the Geordie midfielder starting.

He was struggling for the Chelsea game and was forced off in the second half, so the odds must be massively against him making it.

I fancy Gabriel Obertan to be McClaren’s choice to come into the team and Sissoko to play in the middle, Florian Thauvin surely won’t start in this match as he struggles to adapt to the physical nature of the Premier League.

Mitrovic and Perez are surely certainties to start but I think the Spanish striker will definitely be playing a more withdrawn role behind the centre-forward.

With Man City likely to be doing most of the attacking, Perez is likely to be spending most of his time dropping back into the midfield anyway.

Massadio Haidara might be fit again but surely Kevin Mbabu has earned the right to play again, especially with Haidara not impressing anyway this season.

Elsewhere, the other subs used against Chelsea were de Jong and Ivan Toney, neither of who will surely start, whilst Lascelles and Williamson were also on the bench but would only be called upon if injury strikes (yet again).
