Steve McClaren has confirmed that Jack Colback is still struggling with a hamstring problem and is a big doubt for Manchester City.

Whilst the Head Coach has stated that another three players definitely miss Saturday’s game.

At Friday’s pre-match press conference, McClaren revealed that Gabriel Obertan had now joined the injured list, whilst neither Massadio Haidara or Rolando Aarons would return either.

If there were any doubts as to whether Kevin Mbabu would continue at left-back, they appear to have been dispelled.

With Haidara’s continuing absence and also Aarons not available to play as an emergency left-back, as the Head Coach had said had been in his thoughts before Chelsea, until the winger was ruled out.

As for the players who will be available, it remains to be seen if any of the injured are able to return.

Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote have been back in training, whilst Sylvain Marveaux made his playing return for the reserves earlier this week.

Earlier this afternoon, Manchester City confirmed three players including Wilfried Bony would be back for tomorrow’s game.

However, five others, including Nasri and YaYa Toure, remain unavailable.
