Aleksandar Mitrovic got a welcome win on Thursday night to hopefully raise his spirits ahead of more important business a week on Sunday.

In a grudge match away in Albania, Serbia hit two late goals from Ljajic and Kolarov to give them a dramatic late win.

The result is immaterial for Serbia as they can’t qualify for the Euros Finals in France next summer.

Meanwhile over at Hatem Ben Arfa’s new home, France took Armenia apart 4-0.

Staged in Nice, France were 3-0 up when Moussa Sissoko, who had been left out of the starting eleven, was introduced into the action.

The Newcastle midfielder replaced Yohan Cabaye with 14 minutes remaining.

Cabaye scored the second goal and ‘Get French Football News’ described his goal as:

‘What a goal from Cabaye! Valbuena gives the ball to the Palace man edge of the area, who curls home beautifully, slightly on the volley.’

Serbia now move on and play Portugal on Sunday in a qualifier, whilst France travel to Denmark for their latest friendly ahead of hosting next year’s tournament finals.
