Chancel Mbemba made his latest appearance for his country on Monday night.

DR Congo took on Gabon in a friendly, the match played in Belgium to accommodate the players from both sides who play their club football in Europe.

DR Congo took the lead after five minutes when Leeds United winger Jordan Botaka opened the scoring.

Shortly after half-time Gabon equalised and the match was seemingly heading for a 1-1 draw as the game entered the closing stages.

Then with two minutes to go, Chancel Mbemba won possession back for his country.

The Newcastle centre-back then showed great feet to stride forward and then unleash the winner from over 30 yards out.

As you can see from the video footage below, his teammates and those on the bench were pretty happy as Chancel Mbemba was mobbed in the celebrations.

The defender has a very decent scoring record for his position but Newcastle fans are yet to see it, though he has had a few mazy dribbles up the pitch.

How United could do with one of these goals to beat Norwich on Sunday.
