Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a cracking goal to put Newcastle 4-2 up and declared afterwards ‘I enjoyed the goal a lot’.

After a strange first half of excellent goals and terrible defending for Newcastle, it was 3-2 to United at the break.

Then the second half saw Norwich dominating possession and pushing United ever deeper.

Twenty minutes into the second period though, a quick break for United saw play switch to the other end of the field and a great Moussa Sissoko ball was chested down by Mitrovic before he lashed it left footed past the keeper.

After that Newcastle never looked back.

Some great forward play from Perez, Wijnaldum, Sissoko and the Serbian striker saw United safely home despite the comedy defending at the other end.

Aleksandar Mitrovic:

“I enjoyed the goal a lot.

“We played the perfect game. After a few bad games we showed how to play football.

“Gini Wijnaldum showed a bit of magic today.”
