Alan Shearer has reacted to Newcastle United’s dramatic collapse at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

A deserved lead after 18 minutes through Mitrovic saw Manchester City fortunate to go in level at the break.

Aguero equalising three minutes from half-time after Newcastle were unlucky to see a goal ruled out for offside and Mitrovic failing to add a second when he hit Joe Hart from close range.

Alan Shearer reacting at half-time on Twitter with:

“Very good 1st half from NUFC.”

However, a shocking second-half saw a feeble Newcastle United collapse, conceding an embarrassing five goals in only 13 minutes, leading to this final whistle reaction from Alan Shearer:

“Not sure what happened at half-time but a different team came out in the 2nd half.”
