Rodney Marsh has become the latest pundit to have his say on Newcastle United’s latest crisis/hiccup.

The pundit follows on from Ian Wright and every other man and his dog.

Despite having no connection to the club, everybody it seems thinks they know all the ins and outs of Newcastle United.

Rodney Marsh was appearing on Talksport in the early hours of this morning, speaking to Jason Cundy and Andy Goldstein.

As it happens, I fear I have to agree with the obnoxious Rodney Marsh on this occasion.

The one-time QPR player says he wonders how Newcastle fans must feel this season.

Going on to say that the team have been ‘nothing short of diabolical’.

Marsh says that he will be amazed (‘highly impressed’) if Steve McClaren is still at St James Park when this season draws to a close.

Personally, whilst I can’t see Mike Ashley sacking the Head Coach no matter how long the team go without winning, I don’t think we have another Alan Pardew on our hands.

I can’t see Steve McClaren being one for being bullet proof and ignore everything going on around him as Pardew did, if the worst came to the worst, I think he would jack it in.

For his sake. but mostly for ours, let’s hope that this doesn’t become the case and Rodney Marsh is ‘highly impressed’ in May…

Rodney Marsh:

“If you are a Newcastle supporter, how do you feel?

“This season, they (Newcastle United) have been nothing short of diabolical.

“If Steve McClaren is still there at the end of the season, I will be highly impressed.”
