Newcastle United have submitted their official 25 man squad for the first half of the Premier League season.

Clubs were allowed no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the Home Grown Player (HGP) criteria. The remainder of the squad, a maximum of eight to make it up to a total of 25 players, must be Home Grown.

A Home Grown Player is one who has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association (or the Football Association of Wales) for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).

The Magpies have nine Home Grown Players  and they are labelled as such in the list below.

Players born on or after 1st January 1994 are classed as under 21 players and are eligible to feature throughout the season, despite not being named in the official 25 man squad.

A simple enough decision for Newcastle this time, as they only have the following 25 senior players.
